ME-160 3-Way Coaxial Speaker

Current Color: Ash Wood Veneer

The ME160 is a three-way coaxial floorstanding speaker optimized for sound reproduction in living rooms with minimal acoustic damping. Interference from floor and ceiling reflections often causes diffuse and imprecise imaging. Thanks to its vertical directivity in the mid-to-high frequency range, the passive ME160 effectively eliminates this issue—a result achieved through the unique geometric arrangement of its driver system. Low and mid frequencies are reproduced by two 8-inch cone drivers, each powered by an independent crossover network. Both systems are housed in a bass-reflex enclosure with downward-firing ports. This design simplifies speaker placement while delivering improved low-frequency performance in your listening room. In the high-frequency range, the speaker features three vertically aligned 1-inch dome tweeters positioned directly in front of the upper mid-range system. This technology expands dynamic range and extends the usable listening distance to 5 meters. Combined with the coaxial layout, it delivers uniform and natural imaging. The overall design philosophy of the ME160 emphasizes high efficiency, tonal neutrality, and exceptional dynamic quality. "In summary, this is an elegant floorstanding speaker that exudes true understated sophistication—never flashy or pretentious. Yet, once you feed any music into the ME160, that subtlety vanishes instantly. Its true capabilities emerge immediately, proving it to be a wolf in sheep's clothing."
