The ME 800K is an active four-way coaxial loudspeaker featuring two 15-inch woofer systems, one 6.5-inch high-performance midrange system, and a tweeter array composed of three vertically stacked 1-inch dome drivers. Its directivity is optimized for listening distances between 3 and 8 meters, delivering natural imaging in both stereo and multichannel modes. Two 1000-W and two 500-W amplifier modules provide ample power to the low, mid, and high-frequency channels. This ensures high overload safety, preventing signal clipping even at peak levels. Additionally, sound pressure levels up to 126 dB remain distortion-free across the entire effective frequency range. An integrated room compensation network within the amplifier electronics allows for adjustment of room-dependent frequency response. The vertical arrangement of the 15-inch woofers provides specific directivity characteristics, ensuring authentic bass presence even at listening distances up to 8 meters. Our proven K-technology minimizes rearward room reflections in the bass region, significantly simplifying placement options for the ME 800K in typical listening rooms. For instance, the cone operates without physical contact with the enclosure, eliminating cabinet resonance entirely. Instead, the system utilizes a rear-firing acoustic resistive element to achieve the required directivity. While waveguides are commonly used in front of tweeters to control directivity, short-time reflections from their internal horn surfaces often cause unavoidable "coloration." We adopted a fundamentally different approach: a tweeter array design that dispenses with horn-loaded systems intended solely for increased sound pressure. The coaxially aligned tweeters positioned directly in front of the midrange ensure our signature low-coloration sound reproduction. These features collectively make the ME 800K stand out in the loudspeaker market. It is ideally suited for longer listening distances and rooms with lower acoustic absorption.
