The ME 803K is a floor-standing three-way coaxial speaker featuring two 10-inch bass driver systems, one 6.5-inch high-performance midrange system, and a high-frequency array composed of three vertically aligned 1-inch dome tweeters. Its directivity is optimized for listening distances between 3 and 6 meters, delivering natural imaging in both stereo and multichannel modes. Amplifier modules of 1000 W and two units of 500 W provide ample power to the low-, mid-, and high-frequency channels. This design ensures high overload safety, preventing signal compression even at peak levels. With a maximum sound pressure level of 122 dB, the system delivers undistorted, audible output across its entire effective frequency range. An integrated room compensation network within the amplifier electronics allows precise adjustment of room-dependent frequency response. The vertical arrangement of the 10-inch bass drivers provides specific directivity characteristics, ensuring authentic low-frequency presence even at listening distances up to 6 meters. Our proven K-technology minimizes rearward room reflections in the low-frequency range, significantly simplifying the placement of the ME 803K in any listening environment. The 6.5-inch high-performance midrange system achieves low coloration and minimal distortion through intelligent structural design. For instance, the cone operates without contact with the cabinet, eliminating cabinet resonance entirely. Instead, the midrange system utilizes a rear-facing acoustic flow resistor to achieve the required directivity. While conventional waveguides in front of tweeters help control directivity, they often introduce unavoidable "coloration" due to short-time reflections on the horn's inner surface. We adopted a fundamentally different approach: a tweeter array design that eliminates horn-loaded systems typically used to boost sound pressure levels. The coaxial alignment of the tweeters directly in front of the midrange system ensures our signature low-coloration sound reproduction. These features make the ME 803K stand out in the loudspeaker market. It is specifically optimized for long listening distances and rooms with minimal acoustic absorption.
